Principle

Based upon a combination of mechanical dispersion and linear acceleration in air flow, Zephyr provides fast and accurate size and shape analysis of sieveable powders through image analysis. The instrument combines a high quality imaging system with a robust mechanical quality design for at-line and on-line process control.

The sample is placed directly on the Zephyr vibrating feeder. Then the particles enter in an air flow passing between a collimated lighting and telecentric optics.

Analysis duration and cleaning time are set, and the measurement is started. Within a few seconds, results are displayed.

 

Optics

All Occhio instruments are based upon Telecentric optical technology, utilizing high quality lenses with low distortion and mounted on a precision, robust mechanical system suitable for industrial working conditions.

Software

The embedded Callisto image analysis software with unrivalled morphologic descriptor, computes 16 dedicated parameters for you. These parameters were engineered to be significant, robust and linked to physical properties.

Suitable for size and shape characterization - One-page, directly printable report, configurable for each user or automatic rts file storage. Files are readable by Callistat statistics software for following process conditions. Setting wizard to configure Callisto EOL - One simple click to create your analysis configuration and select your parameters.
